Shaw hits back at critics questioning Man Utd loyalty

Luke Shaw has hit back at those questioning his loyalty to Manchester United following an injury-hit campaign.

The left-back made just 15 appearances for United in all competitions this season and has not played since February due to a muscle injury.

Despite that, Shaw received a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2024, though the England manager said he is a long shot to make the final squad.

Taking to Instagram, Shaw posted: There’s nothing I want to do more than play and win with United.

De Bruyne masterclass instigates Man Utd humiliation as City emphatically remain on course

It was deemed a pivotal match in the title race. Liverpool would have been able to go top of the Premier League table – or at least within a point of it – with a win in their game in hand if Manchester City slipped up in the Manchester derby.

But upon its conclusion at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, it was difficult to imagine Liverpool players doing anything but lifting their jaws off the floor after City blew Manchester United away in stunning fashion, beating Ralf Rangnick s side 4-1.

Not that it always looked likely to be so one-sided. A Cristiano Ronaldo-less United certainly made things interesting at the start, and the absence of the Portuguese forward – due to a hip injury – gave them an enigmatic aura, to some degree.

It emerged on Saturday night …

Across the city, Manchester United are also keen to keep hold of a young striking talent. The Manchester Evening News reports United are lining up a new contract for Joe Hugill, 19, a…

Toure treatment will cost Manchester City African fans – agent

Yaya Toure s agent Dimitri Seluk believes African fans will no longer support Manchester City following Pep Guardiola s decision to leave the experienced midfielder out of his Champions League squad and will instead start backing arch-rivals United instead.

The 33-year-old, sold to City from Barcelona in 2010 when Guardiola was in charge at Camp Nou, featured for the full 90 minutes in the second leg of City s Champions League play-off win over Steaua Bucharest, but has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season.

Toure seemingly faces an uphill battle to win over Guardiola and Seluk feels the Spaniard s treatment of his client will cost City numerous fans in Africa.

Manchester City will lose millions of supporters from Africa because of this decision …
